This is the one that isn't borrowed. Jessee B spent a week on the ranch Gillian Nation grew up on, and it reads in every frame. She rides the palomino bareback, picks raspberries into a basket down by the fence line, and lets a herd of bison hold the horizon from a mile out. Mornings happen in a log room hung with old wool blankets and a single brass lamp. A rope stays looped over one shoulder like she forgot she was holding it. Chiara has never had much use for clothing, and Pietro Favaron builds the entire story around that without ever making it the point. The villa is all glass, so he shoots her through it, against it, doubled in the panes until you are not sure which one to look at. A shell choker stays on. A glass of white wine gets poured and mostly ignored. The jungle waits behind the glass like a painting nobody hung. Bali, a black stone pool, and a story that earns its Unfiltered badge without once raising its voice.
