Svetlana makes her first LiveFast appearance barefoot on a teak deck in a cream knit top and cutoffs left unbuttoned at the waist, kneeling in the shade like she has all day. Then the denim gives way to a crochet bikini made to look like a slice of watermelon, and a Welcome Drink, iced, with the straw tipped toward her. Jessee B shoots up at her from the pool steps with the palm canopy tangled overhead as she stays sugary, heat drunk, and completely sure of herself. He follows her down onto the lounger cushions, where the top is the last thing to go.

Irina spends the afternoon with the Beats. A paperback anthology is held against bare skin, a cast iron teapot sits on the low table, and a cigarette is lit on a stone bench in the garden. Andrea Soverini shoots it in grain and grayscale, through glass and doorframes, until Irina picks up a little point and shoot of her own and turns it back on the lens. Unfiltered, literate, and entirely at ease being looked at.
